Comment on Redline Communications and IT Max Global’s partnership

Redline Communications Group Inc., a leading provider of wide-area wireless networks for the most challenging applications and locations, has signed a distribution agreement with IT Max Global to offer its complete range of mission critical communications solutions across Africa. IT Max Global helps customers design, plan, integrate, deploy, and service all IT and telecom environments – from physical to virtual and cloud.

Intelligent CIO Africa caught up with Guruprasad Padmanabhan, VP MEA, Redline Communications, at GITEX 2017 to gain insight in to the importance of such partnerships and Redline’s plans for expansion across Africa.

What were the driving forces behind the partnership with IT Max Global?
IT Max Global has a well-developed channel relationship across key verticals such as service providers, governments and oil and gas which are key for us. Furthermore, in addition to their strong local knowledge, they have invested in sales, pre-sales and post-sales teams in supporting the channel for the region with local logistics capabilities, which are very key to doing business in Africa.

What do Redline hope to achieve through this partnership?
Redline has fantastic propositions for empowering and enabling the new digital Africa with our LTE, virtual fibre and licensed backhaul solutions. IT Max’s strong focus with their channel, enterprise and government customers will help us drive these technologies, solutions and propositions to our customers faster and nearer to the ground. Together, we will strive to enable our channel with the knowledge and expertise to deliver mission-critical wireless broadband infrastructure solutions to Africa, bridging the digital divide at a quicker pace.

Do Redline have plans for further expansion across Africa?
Yes, we have ambitious plans across Africa. For now, we are invested in our two distribution partners across Africa and have recently hired a channel and sales leader for the region, further emphasising the important focus we have on the region. The goal is to create a larger Africa-based team to drive growth and expansion to the next level.

Are Redline anticipating any region-specific obstacles/opportunities?
Africa is going through a great digital transformation and the paradox of crossing the digital chasm in creating connectivity and broadband infrastructure cost-effectively and quickly to cover large remote populations is a huge opportunity for Redline and our partners. We hope to work with service providers and local governments to bridge that digital divide through our innovative and transformative solutions.

What opportunities does the partnership present both company’s clients?
Redline provides technologies and solutions to create mission-critical wireless broadband networks to power new digital solutions and mobility applications. We have great opportunities in providing the critical connectivity needed to power rural and urban areas alike such as bringing broadband to underserved markets cost-effectively and quickly whilst providing the connectivity fabric for smart cities, public safety and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions in urban and developed areas. Our leadership in the macro-cell or private LTE space offers great economic advantages to service providers in cost-effectively connecting areas that were inaccessible due to the prohibitive costs of providing connectivity solutions to low-density areas effectively.
