Egyptian bank wins 12 international renowned awards in 2017

Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) received 12 international awards in 2017, in recognition of its outstanding innovative performance.

After positioning itself as a local bank with global standards, CIB-Egypt is now competing at a regional and international level.

CIB-Egypt was named the ‘World’s Best Bank in the Emerging Markets’ by Euromoney; the first bank in the Middle East and Africa to receive this award.

Euromoney testified that no bank in the emerging markets performed better than CIB-Egypt, and often in difficult circumstances.

Euromoney also named CIB-Egypt ‘World’s Best Bank in the Middle East’ and ‘Best Bank in Egypt’.

CIB-Egypt also received five awards from Global Finance and four awards from EMEA Finance, including one for being the most innovative bank in Africa.

“Winning these awards does not only position the bank to the forefront, but it also serves as a testament to the stability of the Egyptian banking sector and affirms its positive economic development plans.” said Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, CIB Chairman and Managing Director.
