Technology distributor equips homeless children in South Africa to go to school

Westcon-Comstor’s Comstor business unit through its CSI initiative, Comstor Cares, has kitted out 10 children.

Westcon-Comstor, a value-added technology distributor of security, networking and data centre solutions, has been working with Kids Haven to equip homeless children to go to school.

Westcon-Comstor’s Comstor business unit through its CSI initiative, Comstor Cares, has fully kitted out 10 children and in South Africa’s Ekurhuleni region for their first year of school.

“There is no greater gift than giving of yourselves to the service of others, and the Comstor team really stepped up this year by pulling together, through personal donations, to provide for the children of Kids Haven,” said Louise Taute, Comstor Director at Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa.

“I have been completely humbled by the generosity of every single staff member, they truly emphasise the very ethos upon which our CSI initiative Comstor Cares has been built.”

Through its donations Comstor Cares was able to outfit 10 children, including two girls and eight boys ranging in ages from five to eight, for their first year of school.

Terri Heatlie, at Kids Haven, said: “Kids Haven is a non-profit organisation and is heavily dependent on organisations and individuals like the team from Westcon-Comstor and its Comstor Cares initiative for their support.”
