ZTE South Africa has revealed that ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the mobile Internet, has participated in the public multi-vendor interoperability test organised by the European Advanced Networking Test Centre (EANTC).

The multi-vendor interoperability test held by EANTC aims to verify the capabilities of the vendors’ equipment in supporting the advances in EVPN, SDN, and PCEP features.

The test results were released at the MPLS+SDN + NFV World Congress 2018 in Paris and show that ZTE data products feature excellent interoperability and can provide the effective and pragmatic SDN solution to address the traffic optimisation and traffic scheduling demands in the operators’ existing networks and data centres.

ZTE core routers, as well as SDN WAN controllers including ZXR10 T8000-18, ZXR10 M6000-18S, ZXR10 M6000-8S PLUS, ZXR10 M6000-5S, ZXR10 M6000-3S and ZENIC WAN Controller, participated in the test, successfully connecting with equipment from multiple vendors in EVPN, BGP-LS and PCEP.

In terms of SDN, ZTE routers worked as PCC and its SDN WAN controller worked as PCE, interconnecting with equipment from other vendors. They can collect link status, implement new path algorithm, distribute new paths, and realise traffic optimisation especially when the network topology is changing.

“We highly appreciate ZTE’s active participation in many of this year’s multi-vendor interoperability test areas, specifically in SDN/PCEP/EVPN,” said Carsten Rossenhovel, Managing Director at EANTC.

Hu Longbin, Vice President of Bearer Product Line sat ZTE, added:  “With decades of experience in data products research and development, ZTE has a large number of outstanding talents and great technical strength.

“In the future, we will increase our R&D investment, aiming to lead the transport network innovation, play an active part in the fields of high-end router, SDN/NFV and provide our customers all around the world with quality services.”
