Airbnb and Starbucks to deliver headline Keynotes at SITS18

Jan Willem Sewalt, Head of Service Management at Starbucks, and Chris Arrington, Manager of Productivity Tools at Airbnb, are the first big name Keynote speakers to be announced for SITS18. The UK’s leading event for ITSM, service desk and IT support professionals returns to Olympia London, on 5-6 June.

“Shows like SITS bring the best ITSM professionals and evangelists together,” said Sewalt. “It’s a melting pot of knowledge and experience that will elevate you and leave you with a lot of new ideas and insights. I like to attend SITS for those reasons; it gives me new insights which I can use in my working environment or use to educate other professionals,” he said.

Jan Willem Sewalt is an international oriented and experienced service delivery professional with a key focus on the quality of the expected service delivery suite. With eight years’ experience heading up the service management office for Starbucks Technology EMEA, he’ll be presenting how to make the connection between process, happy staff, customer satisfaction and business performance.

The exclusive Keynote (taking place at 1pm on June 6) will provide visitors with tips on more effective management to improve their staff loyalty. Sewalt will outline why he thinks a focus on career development can transform technology’s business contribution and will ultimately show how to benefit from processes without being ruled by them.

“When you attend my keynote session, I will guide you through the world of IT service delivery, operational excellence and customer experience,” said Sewalt.

“Without a firm yet flexible process framework dedicated and fit for purpose, a vision led by senior leadership and a culture that will elevate you as both a professional and human being [a method being adopted at Starbucks HQ] – you’ll never obtain an IT service delivery experience that will wow your customer.”
