OpenClassrooms partners with Google to build workforce of the future

OpenClassrooms, one of the world’s leading online education platforms, has partnered with ‘Grow with Google’, an initiative to help one million people in Europe to find a job or grow their businesses by 2020 through free education and training. To date, well over 700,000 participants have found a job or grown their business through Google’s one-of-a-kind programme.

The partnership will feature existing OpenClassrooms courses on Google’s Digital Garage, a free learning platform part of Grow with Google initiative. This will make it possible for students to learn how to put the latest technology to work inside and outside of the classroom, teach small business owners to build their online presence and find new customers, and job seekers to grow their skills in order to find new jobs and advance their careers.

Google’s Digital Garage platform has been providing businesses and students with digital marketing training for years and now its expansion into soft skills is tapping in to what OpenClassrooms already does to great success – providing students everywhere with professional skills to thrive in their careers. “OpenClassrooms is honoured to have been selected to participate in Digital Garage to help change the lives of countless students and business owners across Europe and beyond,” said OpenClassrooms’ CEO and Co-founder, Pierre Dubuc.

OpenClassrooms is one of four providers of online education selected to expand Google’s current courses with new modules on soft skills such as communicating with others, motivating and influencing teams and colleagues, and making decisions under pressure; skills crucial for success in any career and increasingly valued by employers, according to the latest research from the World Economic Forum.

OpenClassrooms is one of the leading education platforms in the world, with over three million monthly users across 140 countries and more than 1,000 online courses.
