Help AG event in Middle East to focus on cloud security

After years of being little more than an industry buzz word, cloud computing in the Middle East has rapidly gained momentum and is expected to be a US$290 million market in the UAE alone by 2020.

This presents IT teams with a new set of security challenges that Help AG is set to explore and address at its upcoming Security Spotlight Forum, taking place in Riyadh, Dubai and Abu Dhabi on September 17, 24 and 25 respectively.

Help AG is collaborating with leading security technology providers – Palo Alto Networks, Mimecast, Thales eSecurity, Okta and Tenable – to deliver an event featuring information-packed sessions that give attendees key insight into identity management, endpoint protection, security policies, risk management and other topics essential to secure cloud enablement.

“Cloud is the new frontier for business and in this era, traditional security standards and methodologies are often not easily adaptable to the new consumption model. Security teams are being presented with new challenges that require fundamental shifts in their approach to security,” explained Stephan Berner, CEO at Help AG. “I invite organisations to attend our Security Spotlight Forum and learn from experts how to solve the cloud’s security implications, so they can begin to focus instead on realising its many business benefits.”

The event will feature an in-depth look at Help AG’s cloud-first approach by the company’s CTO, Nicolai Solling.

This will be followed by presentations by top regional executives from each of the participating vendors on the following topics:

  • Okta: Identity as the key driver of the security-first approach
  • Palo Alto Networks: Creating, monitoring and updating security policies for real-time cloud protection
  • Thales eSecurity: Extending encryption to cloud services to ensure data confidentiality
  • Mimecast: Combating the threat of phishing on cloud-based email platforms
  • Tenable: Common cloud security misconceptions and cloud computing’s impact on vulnerability management

While Okta will participate only at the events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, all other vendors will be present at the events taking place each of the three cities.

These will be held at the Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski Riyadh, the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai and the Shangri-La Hotel Abu Dhabi.

Further details and agendas for all events are available at https://www.helpag.com/events/ and those interested in attending the sessions can contact Help AG to register.
