Attivo Networks showcases deception technology at GITEX

Attivo Networks, an award-winning leader in deception for cybersecurity threat detection, is joining Crestan International, a leading value added distributor, at GITEX Technology Week 2018 to highlight the critical role deception technology plays in an active defence strategy.

At the event, the company is showcasing the Attivo Networks ThreatDefend Deception and Response platform, which provides immediate detection value by accurately alerting on attacker engagement with decoys or attempts to use deceptive credentials early in the attack cycle.

High-fidelity alerts are substantiated and actionable based on attacker engagement, eliminating false positives and accelerating incident response. No additional staff are needed to manage the platform as the solution uses Machine Learning to prepare, deploy and operate deception, is easily scalable across all attack surfaces and eliminates false positive alerts with engagement-based alerting. Additionally, the ability to share captured threat intelligence, collect attack forensics and automate incident response extends the value of existing security infrastructure. Collectively, the Attivo ThreatDefend Deception and Response Platform plays a critical role in empowering an active defence strategy.

Attivo Networks says that active defence is not about attacking adversaries but enhancing security strategies to change the asymmetry of an attack by giving the defenders the advantage. Organisations can proactively detect and derail attacks early, regardless of the attack surface or compute environment and gather the threat intelligence required to understand the attack and prevent a similar recurrence.

“At GITEX Technology this week, we are showcasing the latest enhancements to the ThreatDefend platform, including deception for unconventional attack surfaces and serverless computing environments,” said Ray Kafity, Vice President, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Attivo Networks. “With the ThreatDefend Deception and Response Platform, organisations will have the tools necessary to build a proactive defence and detect, derail and deter adversaries.”

Attivo Networks will present its solutions at the Crestan International Stand in Sheikh Rashid Hall G-12 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
