Creativity Kuwait, a premium mobile application and web development company, has participated in a hackathon event.

The company, which has developed cloud-based customised software for various industries, took part in such an event for the first time.

The ‘Team of Creativity’ had a great experience participating in the first-ever hackathon organised by CPES at Tribe Coworking Space in Kuwait.

The CPES Hackathon lasted for 12 hours and saw the team from Creativity Kuwait compete with many others on different types of projects from 9am to 9pm.

The team spent an intense half-day understanding the requirements, making a plan for each project, creating the wireframes and the database structures, designing the UI and then coding.

The CPES Hackathon is a competition between groups of developers and designers and participating teams can choose whether to develop a web or mobile application or any kind of software on the provided theme.

Participants can feel free to use any type of computer programming languages.

Creativity’s team was the first to finish the complete project and scored full points.

Muslim Galiakot, Project Manager, Creativity, said “For an outsourced project, we get time to evaluate the requirements and provide the estimated duration to the client. In a hackathon one is clueless about the scope of the tasks.”

Ahmad Ashour, Managing Director, Creativity, said: “I want my team to adapt to the latest technology – hence why we decided to participate in the hackathon.”
