BringCom consolidates $2.7M+ orders for fibre optics

BringCom, a provider of connectivity solutions to developing countries, announced it has received new orders totalling $2.7 million for African based fibre optic circuits. The first award from DITCO Europe, under a competitive procurement, includes supply of a 100MB MPLS circuit from West Africa to Europe.

The additional circuits include a 50MB MPLS circuit from Africa to Europe and a 10MB MPLS intra-Africa circuit. The 50MB circuit includes the utilisation of BringCom’s newly established MPLS Point of Presence in Nairobi, Kenya and its existing MPLS PoP at the Djibouti Teleport facility in the Republic of Djibouti as well as managed network operating centre services from the US and the Republic of Djibouti.

“These new circuit awards reflect BringCom’s strategy to grow and expand its MPLS connectivity network across Africa with the support of local and regional telecom operators,” said Fabrice Langreney, President and CEO of BringCom. “BringCom’s strategy and investment in the region, including its new ability to offer BringCom managed SEA-ME-WE 5 submarine cable capacity when available in 2017, and allows us to increase our ability to competitively service the requirements of diverse customers with challenging telecommunications applications.”

BringCom’s Djibouti Teleport continues to serve as its pan-African gateway where it has access to multiple submarine cables linking customers in Africa to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

BringCom has been supplying communications solutions to its customers since 1992 offering connectivity services to enterprise and government customers in the United States, Caribbean, Africa and Middle East. It delivers communication solutions to and from some of the world’s most challenging locations. BringCom is headquartered in the US, in conjunction with its international teleport and main fibre Point of Presence and manages Djibouti Teleport through a joint venture with Djibouti Telecom.
