Digital innovation across Africa was recognised and celebrated during Lynchpin Media’s prestigious ICT awards event in Johannesburg this week.
The Intelligent ICT Awards Africa took place at Katy’s Palace Bar on May 8 and showcased IT success stories from across the continent, with the region’s technology change-makers and leading vendors were recognised.
The awards, sponsored by Dell Technologies, Cloud on Demand and Westcon-Comstor, featured six categories that celebrate the achievements of IT and business leaders and the event was hosted by Musa Khuzwayo.
Winners were selected by an independent jury panel, made up of David Reynders, CTO, Merchant Capital; Sithembile Songo, CISO, Eskom; Wabo Majavu, Non-Executive Director and Founder, WiTechnology; and Noluvuyo Gqadu, CEO at CodeNgwana.
Jodie Harris, Head of Events at Lynchpin Media, said: “We set out to create an informal, fun and vibrant awards event that celebrates the best of this region’s ICT industry – and we definitely delivered on that mission.
“Our finalists embraced this year’s event and brought so much energy and positivity. Whether they took home the award or not, the great feedback we received suggests everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
“Thanks to everyone involved – including our suppliers, brilliant sponsors, fantastic host and, of course, our finalists, for helping to make this a truly memorable event.”
