{"id":28915,"date":"2019-09-12T14:51:56","date_gmt":"2019-09-12T13:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/?p=28915"},"modified":"2019-09-12T14:56:48","modified_gmt":"2019-09-12T13:56:48","slug":"landynamix-achieves-level-2-bee-certification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/2019\/09\/12\/landynamix-achieves-level-2-bee-certification\/","title":{"rendered":"LanDynamix achieves Level 2 BEE certification"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>LanDynamix\n\u2013 a leading specialist cybersecurity solutions and managed services\ncompany \u2013 has announced the achievement of a Level 2 BEE rating for the second\nyear in a row. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\nhas also revealed the details of the LanDynamix Employees Trust which has been\nallocated 30% of the shares in the business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established in\n2006, LanDynamix provides cybersecurity and managed services in the Information\nand Communications Technology environment. Areas of specialisation include\ncybersecurity, remote support, monitoring and management of clients\u2019 IT\nsystems.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A level 2\nBEE status is awarded to companies that score more than 95 but less than 100 of\nthe allocated points on the BEE scorecard.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeanne\nNkuna, LanDynamix Operations Director,&nbsp;said: \u201cIn our case we scored 96.91\nout of the possible 100 points.&nbsp; The score then needs to be evaluated\nagainst all five elements of BEE, namely equity ownership, management control,\nskills development, enterprise and supplier development as well as\nsocio-economic parameters.&nbsp; All of these categories are given different\nweightings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter\nClarke, MD and founder of LanDynamix, added that it is quite an achievement due\nto the stringent industry sector requirements for businesses categorised in the\nQualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) arena.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur BEE\nrating is hugely important to us and we attribute this success to the fact that\nwe have done this in the right way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll too\noften it can end up merely a smoke and mirrors exercise with many companies\nfailing to understand&nbsp;how important these ratings are and how they can be\nsignificantly beneficial to both staff and the organisations with which they\npartner.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarke said\nthe Level 2 rating is an incentive for other companies to do business with\nLanDynamix&nbsp;as this in turn improves their score. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt has a knock-on\neffect as they can use our certificate for their compliance and vice versa,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe other\nside of the coin is that without this compliance business can be lost to\ncompetitors \u2013 some entities only deal with compliant suppliers.&nbsp; So,\nhaving this rating effectively means we can win business with non-compliant and\ncompliant companies alike.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarke\nhighlights the foundation of the LanDynamix Employees Trust as one hugely\nsuccessful example of the tangible staff benefits of the company\u2019s approach to\nBEE.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Trust\nwas established to benefit previously disadvantaged&nbsp;employees who are\neligible to own shares after&nbsp;one year of full-time permanent employment in\nthe organisation,\u201d says Clarke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dividends are paid annually to the beneficiaries and the longer the\nemployee has been with the company the higher their economic benefit.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cStaff are now owners in the business and benefit economically from the scheme,\u201d added Clarke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor me, this is hugely rewarding as I see it as the right way to be\nsuccessful in business by empowering our staff and making them owners and\npartners also.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He says\nemployees also gain immense benefit from the skills development perspective &#8211;\none of the main priorities of the company.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have\nplaced great emphasis on training initiatives to develop the skills of all\nstaff but with particular focus on the previously disadvantaged,\u201d said Clarke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are also investigating more programmes including internships and the youth employment service (Y.E.S) and in doing so to further contribute to absorbing more people into the workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/09\/PETER-CLARKE-MANAGING-DIRECTOR-LANDYNAMIX-800x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28918\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/09\/PETER-CLARKE-MANAGING-DIRECTOR-LANDYNAMIX-800x1024.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/09\/PETER-CLARKE-MANAGING-DIRECTOR-LANDYNAMIX-234x300.jpg 234w, https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/09\/PETER-CLARKE-MANAGING-DIRECTOR-LANDYNAMIX-768x983.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/09\/PETER-CLARKE-MANAGING-DIRECTOR-LANDYNAMIX.jpg 1015w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption> Peter Clarke, MD and founder of LanDynamix <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LanDynamix \u2013 a leading specialist cybersecurity solutions and managed services company \u2013 has announced the achievement of a Level 2 BEE rating for the second year in a row.
