Jangala, a charitable non-government organisation (NGO) is working to meet refugees\u2019 needs with its \u2018Big Box\u2019 connectivity solution. It creates Wi-Fi that is \u2018easy to manage and scale\u2019, to support thousands of users in a place of need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nLenovo Foundation has partnered with Jangala to bring connectivity to refugee\neducation centres, ensuring that while people’s lives have been disrupted, they\nare not isolated from education, learning, and communication with loved ones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While a\nportion of Lenovo’s support will provide Big Box solutions in areas of Kenya,\nSouth Sudan, South Africa and Swaziland, funding will also help Jangala improve\ntheir product with better remote network controls for educational use. The\nconnectivity will be deployed to partner organisations, Sky School and\nSkateistan, who have trusted community education centers with innovative\ndigital educational curriculum for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lenovo\nwill be complementing the Wi-Fi access with hardware donations to the organisations,\nensuring they have the equipment needs to fully leverage their connection.\nLenovo expects to improve access to education for at least 3,000 students in\nits first year of partnership with Jangala, Skateistan, and Sky School. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
