Avaya\nand an Egyptian ministry have declared their commitment to the country\u2019s Digital\nTransformation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr\nAmr Talaat, Egypt\u2019s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has\nmet with Nidal Abou-Ltaif, President, Avaya International, with both affirming\ntheir commitment to Egypt\u2019s Digital Transformation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ntwo discussed topics ranging from a software development centre opened by Avaya, which will create an environment that\nsupports innovation through locally sourced research and talent, to a new\nqualification programme for the latest smart platforms and Avaya technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This\nwill be rolled out in co-operation with the National Institute for\nCommunications Regulation and the ITTi Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr\nTalaat remarked on the importance that the Ministry of Communications and\nInformation Technology places on co-operating with major international companies specialised in next-generation technology solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At\nthe meeting, he said that the country\u2019s partnership with Avaya contributes to\nthe building of a \u2018digital Egypt\u2019, stressing that Digital Transformation is\nessential to improving the quality of government services and the country’s\nproductive capacity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abou-Ltaif\nadded that he looks forward to further co-operation with the ministry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nmeeting was also attended by Dr Abeer Shaqwer, Advisor to the Minister of\nCommunications and Information Technology for Community Responsibility and\nServices and CEO of the National Academy for Information Technology for Persons\nwith Disabilities, and Ahmed Fayed, Country Manager \u2013 Egypt and Libya, Avaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nmeeting follows close collaboration between Avaya and Egypt\u2019s Ministry of\nCommunications and Information Technology, which recently launched the Middle\nEast\u2019s first contact centre for people with hearing and speech\nimpairments using Avaya technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
