CareConnect, a non-profit organisation founded by some of\nthe largest medical insurance administrators and hospital groups in South\nAfrica, has selected InterSystems to implement HealthShare Unified Care Record\nand HealthShare Patient Index to revolutionise the local healthcare system by\nproviding unified access to vital patient information for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HealthShare lets those in the medical industry overcome the\nchallenges of decentralised data by consolidating information across multiple\nstakeholders when requested. The system delivers relevant data from\nacross an application and business ecosystem, facilitating timely action\nthrough real-time communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis\nis the first substantial health data exchange of its kind in Africa and will\ndramatically improve South African patient care in the future,\u201d said Henry\nAdams, Sales Manager for InterSystems South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
