South Africa is one of the countries benefitting\nfrom Avaya helping educational institutions overcome the coronavirus crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a bid to help communities dealing with\nthe outbreak, Avaya has made Avaya Spaces, a cloud-based collaboration app that\nenables virtual learning, available for free to schools, universities and\nnon-profit organisations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The move, part of the new #AvayaCares\ninitiative, is offered as a solution to those affected by travel barriers being\nerected as governments work to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The free Avaya Spaces offer provides a\ncloud meeting and team collaboration solution that enables people and\norganisations to connect and collaborate remotely \u2013 and goes beyond integrating\nchat, voice, video, online meetings and content sharing. It gives users all the\nmeeting and team collaboration features they need, including voice and video\nconferencing for up to 200 participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI know there is an especially immediate\nneed in the education sector as school and university administrators consider\nthe safety of their students while ensuring continuity of their classes,\nengagement with their students and delivering on their educational objectives,\u201d\nwrote Jim Chirico, President and CEO of Avaya, in a blog announcing the\ninitiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
