Oracle has opened its second research and development (R&D) hub in Morocco. Expanding its investment in the country\u2019s technology ecosystem underscores Oracle\u2019s commitment to developing world-class AI and cloud technologies in Morocco to serve global markets. Located in Agadir, the new facility builds on the recent launch of Oracle’s R&D centre in Casablanca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The R&D hub was inaugurated by Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government of the Kingdom of Morocco,\u00a0Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Delegate Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Karim Zidane, Delegate Minister in charge of Investment, Convergence, and the Evaluation of Public Policies, and Simon de Montfort Walker, executive vice president, Industry Applications, Oracle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough this new R&D Centre in Agadir, Oracle has chosen to continue and expand its presence in Morocco. This confirms that our country is now recognised as a credible, competitive, and attractive platform for research and development activities and advanced technologies\u201d, said Aziz Akhannouch. \u201cMorocco also benefits from a high-quality talent pool, strong academic institutions, and a digital ambition driven at the highest level of the State. By expanding its operations in Morocco, investing in our young talent, and establishing its cloud infrastructure capabilities, Oracle is playing a valued role as both an economic and strategic partner in the Kingdom\u2019s digital transformation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch of the Agadir R&D hub further reinforces Oracle\u2019s leadership in Morocco and North Africa. With the Oracle Cloud Casablanca Region now live, a second cloud region planned in Settat, and R&D hubs in both Casablanca and Agadir, Oracle is building an unmatched cloud and AI ecosystem in the country. As the only major cloud provider combining sovereign cloud infrastructure, AI innovation, advanced research and development, and large-scale talent investment in Morocco, Oracle is helping position Morocco as a regional center for AI innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Agadir R&D hub will focus on advancing innovation across Oracle\u2019s cloud, AI-powered applications, data platforms, and industry solutions, while creating opportunities for highly skilled Moroccan engineers, developers, and researchers. The new hub will also complement Oracle\u2019s Casablanca operations, creating a multi-city innovation network that enables greater collaboration, expands access to talent, and strengthens Morocco’s position as a leading technology destination for Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
