UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has agreed a new Cyber and Critical Technology Partnership with Australia\u2019s Foreign Minister Marise Payne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement seeks to strengthen global technology supply chains, ensure the UK\u2019s positive technology vision and to tackle malign actors who attempt to disrupt cyber-space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new agreement includes provisions to build greater resilience to ransomware among Indo-Pacific nations and sharpen legal sanctions against cyberattackers. It will also deepen practical co-operation on ensuring technology standards reflect the two countries\u2019 shared values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UK Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, said: \u201cAs champions of freedom and democracy, the UK and Australia are hard-headed in defending our values and challenging unfair practices and malign acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
