The theme was “A New AI Engine: Unlocking All Intelligence Across Industries”. Over 1,000 leaders from politics, business, and technology attended. They discussed advancements in AI and its practical application in different industries and how businesses could overcome challenges in scaling AI applications and speeding up their transition to smarter operations.

Agentic AI is transforming how we apply AI. It does more than just respond to commands. It actively plans and executes complex tasks in numerous industries, like finance, shipping ports, chemical manufacturing, healthcare, and autonomous driving.

According to Zhang Yuxin, CTO of Huawei Cloud, agentic AI represents a major shift in applications and compute. Unlike traditional systems, with their fixed processes and resources, agentic AI makes decisions independently. It adapts dynamically, reshaping how computing systems interact and allocate resources. To adapt to this new environment, Huawei Cloud has developed a comprehensive strategy focusing on AI infrastructure, foundation models, tools, and agent platforms. This approach aims to deliver robust cloud services that help businesses achieve smarter upgrades efficiently.

CloudMatrix384-powered AI compute service ushers in the supernode revolution

As demand for compute surges with foundation model training and inference, traditional architectures struggle to keep up with AI requirements. Huawei Cloud AI Compute Service uses CloudMatrix384 supernodes connected by a high-speed MatrixLink network. This creates a flexible hybrid compute system combining general-purpose and intelligent compute. Designed for MoE models, the supernode structure allows expert parallelism inference, cuts down NPU idle time during data transfers, and boosts single-PU inference speed 4–5x compared to other popular models. Huawei also introduced memory-centric AI-Native Storage tailored to typical AI tasks, enhancing training and inference efficiency.

ModelBest excels at general-purpose AI and leads the industry in device intelligence. Their MiniCPM series offers a comprehensive range of products that span foundation models, multi-modal capabilities, and full-modality integration, delivering top results in device-side evaluations. These on-device models integrate seamlessly with the Huawei Cloud AI Compute Service, boosting training energy efficiency by 20% and outperforming industry standards by 10%. MiniCPM models are now widely used in cars, smartphones, embodied AI, and AIPCs.

Empowering customers through comprehensive industry insights: Professional models with robust system engineering expertise

Training industry models incrementally is a complex task. Huawei Cloud uses innovative data preparation, incremental training, and model evaluation methods to help customers create high-quality models tailored to their needs.

A complete data pipeline handles all stages, from collection, processing, and labeling, to synthesis, evaluation, and management. It efficiently develops industry know-how and creates comprehensive data assets for businesses. It also identifies ideal data ratios for specific incremental training tasks using scenario-based datasets.

A ready-to-use incremental training workflow boosts model performance by 20–30%. It automatically adjusts data and training settings based on core model features and industry-specific objectives.

A smart evaluation platform comes ready with preset evaluation sets, enabling quick setup of evaluation systems that meet industry or company benchmarks. This improves both the accuracy and speed of evaluations.

Shaanxi Cultural Industry Investment Group, a pivotal force in boosting the region’s cultural tourism ecosystem, has forged a dynamic partnership with Huawei. They worked together to deeply integrate AI with cultural tourism, driving innovation and driving growth in the sector.

Huang Yong, Chairman of Shaanxi Cultural Industry Investment Group, stated that using Huawei Cloud’s data-AI convergence platform, the group combined diverse cultural tourism data to create comprehensive datasets across areas like history, film, and intangible heritage, strengthening Shaanxi’s cultural tourism foundation. The partnership also established a trusted national data space for cultural tourism on Huawei Cloud, addressing data-sharing concerns and enabling key applications such as asset verification, copyright transaction, enterprise credit enhancement, and creative development. This fully unleashes the multiplier effect of data elements.

Together, they launched the Boguan cultural tourism model, supported by advanced datasets. This initiative includes innovative AI-driven tools like the cultural tourism intelligent brain, smart management assistant, intelligent travel assistant, and a one-stop AI short video platform, fostering new consumer experiences, business formats, and service models.

Huawei Cloud’s advanced AI supports both local markets and international services. Known for its focus on innovation, Dubai uses AI to speed up its Smart City projects. The Dubai government worked with Huawei Cloud to combine technologies like foundation models, virtual humans, Digital Twins, and geographical information systems (GISs) into urban systems. This integration has improved city planning, facility management, and emergency responses, positioning Dubai as a leading example of Smart City progress worldwide.

Versatile: An enterprise-grade agent platform for rapid deployment and tangible business Impacts

Unlike personal user-focused agents designed for quick interactions and fast responses, enterprise-grade agents must integrate seamlessly into broader workflows, handling complex situations and meeting higher standards.

Huawei Cloud Versatile helps businesses create effective agents tailored to their production needs. Built around the complete application cycle, it combines Huawei Cloud’s AI compute, models, data platforms, tools, and ecosystem capabilities to streamline agent development, deployment, release, usage and management. This approach speeds up agent adoption across various tasks, turning them into practical business solutions.

Conch Group partnered with Huawei to create the cement industry’s first AI-powered cement and building materials model. Together with Huawei Cloud, they developed cement agents for enterprise-wide production, operations, and management.

This AI model predicts clinker strength at 3 and 28 days accurately in real time, with predictions deviating less than 1 MPa from actual results (over 90% accuracy).

For global optimization of cement calcination, the model suggests key process parameters instantly under various conditions and finds the best operational solutions, cutting standard coal usage by 1% compared to class A energy efficiency standards.

According to Xu Yue, Assistant to Conch Cement’s General Manager, the model’s success with quality control, production optimization, equipment management, and safety lays the groundwork for end-to-end collaboration and decision-making for cement agents. These advanced agents are moving the cement industry from relying on traditional expertise to being fully driven by data across all processes.

Smartcom has partnered with Huawei for over 20 years in enterprise travel management.
