Mandai Wildlife Group\u2019s AI-powered platform consolidates more than 600,000 keeper and veterinary notes into a unified, searchable knowledge hub for life sciences teams.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore\u2019s Mandai Wildlife Group has accelerated Animal 360 on Snowflake with Infinite Lambda, enabling animal care and veterinary teams to retrieve insights in minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animal 360 is a secure, AI-powered internal platform that enables animal care and veterinary teams to access trusted insights through natural language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a wildlife and nature destination home to Singapore\u2019s wildlife parks including Bird Paradise, Night Safari, Singapore Zoo, Rainforest Wild Adventure and River Wonders, alongside other nature-themed indoor attractions and green public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every animal under Mandai Wildlife Group\u2019s care accumulates a unique history over its lifetime. Daily keeper observations, veterinary treatments, breeding records, nutrition logs and more all contribute to a growing pool of institutional knowledge that guides the scientific management of its 20,000 animals across more than 900 species, with more than 600,000 keeper and veterinary notes on file today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animal 360 brings together animal husbandry, veterinary, nutrition and genealogy records that were previously stored across multiple systems into a single searchable interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Snowflake Cortex AI and large language models (LLMs), the platform allows users to retrieve information and summaries in natural language to build context more quickly before applying their professional judgement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having completed an initial pilot with Mandai Wildlife Group\u2019s Life Sciences teams, the platform is now scaling into wider deployment, refined continuously based on user feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform is already supporting a range of day-to-day work at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Singapore Zoo, primate keepers are using the platform to retrieve and analyse historical mating records across a troop of proboscis monkeys, helping them better estimate a pregnant female\u2019s likely due date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond this, early pilots point to further potential, such as analysing welfare and pathology data at scale, giving the teams clearer visibility into patterns that would otherwise take longer to piece together by hand. A similar platform, called Business 360, has also been built to serve the commercial aspects of Mandai Wildlife Group\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Siew Yeow Loye, Chief Information Officer, Mandai Wildlife Group, said: \u201cOur vets and keepers have always drawn on multiple sources to understand an animal’s history, but bringing that information together took time. With Animal 360, they can simply ask a question and have it pulled together for them, so they can spend less time gathering information and more time doing what they do best \u2013 caring for the animals. The information has always existed across our systems and AI now lets us surface it instantly, in context, right when our teams need it. That’s where we see AI adding the most value.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
