Terve Research is a dedicated online platform for academic and medical institutions across Europe, giving research partners direct access to real-world health data extracted from Huawei wearable devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funded by Huawei and independently operated by Thryve, the platform lets institutions run closed studies with recruited participants or open studies where any eligible Huawei wearable user can opt in through the Terve Research app. Data is collected anonymously and automatically at researcher-defined intervals, cutting recruitment costs and timelines for large-scale studies. The platform holds ISO27001 and ISO9001 certification and is fully GDPR compliant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Terve Research will debut two landmark studies, underscoring the platform’s potential to address pressing health challenges. Professor Ramin Khatami of University Hospital Zurich, Head of Sleep Medicine at the University Hospital Zurich and a founding member of the European Narcolepsy Network (EU-NN), will lead a study on the health impacts of circadian rhythm disruption on wearable users across Europe. Professor Tomasz Guzik, Chair of the ESC’s Programme Committee, will head a second study examining the link between physical activity patterns and cardiovascular risk. The study leverages Huawei’s advanced sensor technology to capture continuous, high-fidelity activity and heart health data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside the platform, Huawei confirmed global availability of the HUAWEI WATCH D3. The device is the world\u2019s first exercise blood pressure monitor to meet ISO standards, providing precise readings before and after activity and offering tailored exercise intensity guidance without losing accuracy at higher heart rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The device carries CE Medical Device Certification for resting, ambulatory and exercise blood pressure monitoring, alongside new altitude and temperature-change alerts. Huawei says further updates to the watch’s Health Glance and Health Insights features, including expanded sleep and emotional well-being tracking, will be detailed at the device’s official launch event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Huawei\u2019s leadership in digital health monitoring, showcased at ESC Congress 2026, is underpinned by partnerships with more than 160 healthcare institutions globally. Its network of 10+ research centres, including three major sports and health science laboratories, drives innovation in cardiovascular care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
