He mentioned Huawei has identified three major opportunities: a recovering Internet Data Centre (IDC) market driven by AI compute, a surge in Data Centre Interconnect (DCI) traffic and new revenue streams in localised compute and connectivity powered by Edge AI deployment.

To lead in this new era, Yue emphasised ISPs can focus on three aspects: optimising network layouts around compute nodes, cultivating AI computing network professionals and piloting new business models like token services tailored to local demands. Huawei is prepared to collaborate with industry customers to build next-generation networks centred on DCs, establishing new industry growth.

The explosive expansion of large model applications has driven an exponential increase in token usage, leading to a surge in demand for AI computing power scheduling and cross-region data interconnection. The HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 summit brought together global ISPs and industry experts to explore industry transformation and chart a blueprint for shifting from traffic monetisation to token value monetisation.

Guan Jiawei, Vice President of Beijing Approach AI Technology, noted that token demand is turning DCs into ‘token factories’, with the company’s ATaaS architecture designed to drive growth in enterprise compute and DCI markets.

In his speech on Computing Power Leasing and Intelligent Operations Drive Business Success, Wahaj Siraj, Co-founder & CEO of Nayatel, Pakistan, shared how ISPs can leverage their existing infrastructure to offer a brand-new service stack with minimum investments. He highlighted that by offering localised GPU-as-a-Service (GaaS) and AI-powered intelligent operations, ISPs can offer something foreign entities cannot.

To help ISPs boost network performance and efficiently expand in DC and compute markets, Huawei released the 2T & Submarine-Terrestrial Synergy All-Optical Network Solution for AI Workloads. This solution focuses on the demand of AI workloads for ultra-high bandwidth, ultra-low latency and reliable cross-region interconnection. It delivers a 2T DCI and submarine-terrestrial integrated infrastructure for connecting both domestic and international computing nodes. With this solution, ISPs can provide DCI and cross-border computing private line services for AI enterprises and cloud vendors, converting network capabilities into compute-enabling services to support large-scale token service deployment.

To support this transformation, Huawei also unveiled two global showcases built with local partners: FiberStar in Indonesia, which used Huawei’s IP & optical converged bearer network, DCI, and SD-WAN solutions to build high-bandwidth infrastructure for B2B growth, and Brasil TecPar, which unified its network architecture with Huawei’s converged bearer solution and launched FTTR packages to drive home broadband and B2B expansion.

AI is giving ISPs the power to transition from pipes to engines and evolve their offerings beyond basic connectivity to intelligent services. By reshaping networks with AI and driving growth with tokens, Huawei remains committed to helping ISPs build high-performance, resilient, intelligent infrastructure to share success in intelligent transformation.

At HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, Huawei held an ISP Summit: AI Reshapes ISPs, Tokens Drive Growth, releasing a new all-optical network solution for AI workloads and two global showcases: the FiberStar Showcase and the Brasil TecPar Showcase.
