{"id":7696,"date":"2021-08-03T16:22:49","date_gmt":"2021-08-03T15:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/apac\/?p=7696"},"modified":"2021-08-04T14:36:23","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T13:36:23","slug":"western-australia-police-force-enhances-safety-with-motorola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/apac\/2021\/08\/03\/western-australia-police-force-enhances-safety-with-motorola\/","title":{"rendered":"Western Australia Police Force enhances safety with Motorola"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Motorola solution puts essential information at officers\u2019 fingertips and gives officers more time for community policing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new mobile policing application from Motorola Solutions is helping all frontline officers with Western Australia Police Force (WA Police) to work with higher levels of safety and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OneForce Core is a feature-rich application that puts essential information at officers\u2019 fingertips and enables them to complete a number of different tasks on the go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspector Andrew Henderson from WA Police\u2019s Digital Policing division has an important message for Western Australia\u2019s community members who observe officers looking at their mobile devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou may have noticed that a lot of our police officers are spending more time on their mobile phones,\u201d Henderson said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re not on social media, they\u2019re accessing important information that keeps our police officers better informed while keeping themselves and the community safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe receive our daily jobs on our phones and can also look up offenders\u2019 details and check on custody matters. Previously we had to manage these tasks from police vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis new technology means we spend less time doing administrative work at the station and more time out in the community serving Western Australians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new technology represents a major initiative from the 2019-2020 Western Australia state budget to build stronger, safer communities with fresh ideas and new resources to fight crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution is part of the government\u2019s AU$34.6 million commitment to roll out personal mobile technology to free up more time for police officers working on the beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con Balaskas, Managing Director for Motorola Solutions Australia and New Zealand, said the new mobility solution is streamlining the management of WA Police\u2019s daily operations while giving it greater flexibility to respond to peak events and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe application provides greater collaboration, co-ordination and situational awareness between control room workers and first responders in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat means WAPOL can place its valuable resources wherever they are needed most, as well as make faster and more accurate decisions in critical moments.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Motorola solution puts essential information at officers\u2019 fingertips and gives officers more time for community policing.
