Augmented World Expo (AWE), the world-leading event series for Augmented and Virtual Reality, will return to the MOC Exhibition Center in Munich on October 17/18, 2019. The event, which has now run for 10 years globally, will offer insight on the latest mixed reality trends and innovations from global technology leaders, including Google, Microsoft and Audi.
This year’s theme is Spatial Computing, a trend which leverages the power of physical space to interact with a computer – a key component of helping mixed reality to become more engaging and immersive. Spatial computing encompasses everything needed to let people move around in a digital 3D world, including the Artificial Intelligence technology trends like Machine Learning and natural language processing, as well as computer vision, AR/VR and other apps which support the creation of an interactive digital 3D world.
The event also puts the spotlight on Open AR Cloud (OARC), which was launched at AWE 2018. The association’s mission is to drive the development of open and interoperable spatial computing technology, data and standards to connect the physical and digital worlds. Offering transparency and interoperability, OARC is developing guidelines and tools to ensure all stakeholders work together to create solutions which offer benefit to all.
