FINCONS GROUP, an international IT consulting and system integration company with over 1,600 employees in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Great Britain and the USA, has been awarded the ‘Railway Production Shoring Factory’ contract, together with another technology provider. Software for the industry programme, smartrail 4.0, is also being developed in the area of rail production.
As part of its digitisation process, Swiss Federal Railways (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen – SBB) will carry out a number of projects for the development and implementation of applications in railway technology at the FINCONS GROUP’s delivery centre in Bari, which will become one of the strategic production locations for SBB’s railway software. The contract envisages continuous and growing cooperation with the delivery centre, which SBB will support with approximately 100 additional resources in the coming years.
