Acronis signs partnership with Atlético de Madrid to become team’s official cyber protection partner

Acronis, a global leader in cyber protection, has announced a new partnership with Atlético de Madrid, one of the greatest football clubs not only in Spain but worldwide, with 10 LaLiga titles, 10 King Cups, eight international trophies won and currently second placed at the UEFA ranking. As the team’s official cyber protection partner, Acronis will be providing multiple services and solutions to the team to prevent data loss and mitigate risk, including Acronis Backup, Disaster Recovery and File Sync and Share. The protection will cover hundreds of workstations, servers and cloud storage locations.

Atlético de Madrid’s Technology and Digital Development Director, René Abril, shares his optimism on how this partnership will help take the club to the next level: “Sport, and particularly football, has for years relied heavily on technological advances. The clubs are committed to ensuring that the experience in the stadiums is also backed by connectivity, always respecting the leading role of sport. We have a new stadium where sensorisation and data generation are pillars of our transformation plan. Acronis offers us the security of having our data protected from any threat.”

Acronis solutions are built upon the five vectors of cyber protection, which are safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity and security (SAPAS). Solutions built upon this design philosophy offer organisations both security and ease-of-access to their data, which are commonly thought of as being polarising concepts, along with the guarantee that their data is tamper-free and legitimate.
