It found that two-thirds of executives say their organisation now leverages this data for new products or services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the UK, the findings revealed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Investment&nbsp;in analytics tools and platforms has increased from&nbsp;64% in 2020 to 81% in 2024\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By harnessing activated data, the ability to&nbsp;introduce new products\/services&nbsp;has increased from&nbsp;58% in 2020 to 75% in 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>60% of organisations have already implemented&nbsp;pilots or launched early proofs of concept (PoCs) of&nbsp;GenAI\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two-thirds (66%)&nbsp;of organisations cite large-scale deployment of GenAI PoCs as a&nbsp;major challenge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organisations are already using GenAI in data management:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>44% for synthetic data creation&nbsp;where using actual data is a challenge due to privacy concerns or confidentiality agreements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>44% for augmenting and enriching data&nbsp;by adding additional features, attributes, or labels that improve the quality and usability of existing data sets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>36% for analysing large amounts of data&nbsp;to uncover hidden patterns, relationships and anomalies in data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>54% for improving cloud storage&nbsp;with smart deduplication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also found that while some challenges identified in the 2020 edition of the research persist, they have diminished, and new priorities \u2013 such as Generative AI \u2013 have emerged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Data-powered enterprises<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The path to data mastery&nbsp;also examines organisational readiness to incorporate Generative AI into their processes.
