One of the West Midlands\u2019 fastest growing managed IT, communication and cloud security solutions providers has strengthened its footprint in the sporting world with a landmark football deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Birmingham\u2019s Intercity, which has doubled its workforce to 325 over the last five years, has become the official IT Support Partner for Birmingham City, a strategic partnership that will enhance the football club\u2019s digital infrastructure and ensure seamless technology integration across its growing sporting, commercial and community operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-year collaboration will involve upgrading IT systems and cloud servers, matchday stadium support, enhancing network connectivity at Blues\u2019 Knighthead Training and Academy Grounds, IT transformation advice and delivery of the latest cybersecurity training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An onsite support engineer from Intercity will also be deployed to ensure \u2018around the clock\u2019 technical support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis strategic partnership represents a great synergy between two Birmingham-based organisations with deep and passionate roots in the city. Our focus will be on helping the football club with its Digital Transformation, a critical journey that will boost operations and allow them to focus on their performance both on and off the field.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal with \u2018Blues\u2019 follows closely on the heels of Intercity\u2019s partnership with Edgbaston Stadium and Warwickshire County Cricket Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both sporting institutions have chosen the company for its proven track record and robust delivery of the latest IT solutions and big event experience, as well as its unrivalled commitment to working with them on charitable causes and with community groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One such example was the Holloway Head-based firm\u2019s involvement in Birmingham City\u2019s Blue Nose Day initiative, where it contributed towards fundraising to help young people supported by the Birmingham Children\u2019s Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intercity, which has a NPS customer service score of 93+, is a modern-day West Midlands \u2018IT\u2019 success story, rising from a \u00a328m turnover business in 2020 to a company generating more than \u00a360m revenues in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
