He is a valuable strategic addition to the Portus Data Centers management team during a period of strong growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Portus Data Centers operates highly interconnected data centers in regional markets including Munich, Hamburg and Luxembourg. The company pursues a clear buy-and-build strategy to meet the growing demand for scalable and sustainable IT infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Falk Weinreich said: &#8220;The market for digital infrastructure is booming and new technologies such as AI, Cloud Computing, edge computing and IoT are driving increasing demand for high-performance data centers which we are addressing with targeted investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Portus Data Centers has quickly positioned itself as one of the most important providers in the regional colocation sector. Together with Arcus as a strategic partner, we are investing in energy-efficient infrastructure solutions close to our customers and are specifically strengthening key technology and business locations. Customer demand is very strong and the business is at a real inflection point now that we have started substantial expansions in various markets, so Falk will add tremendous value driving the business forward and helping it grow and prosper.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Weinreich&#8217;s leadership, Portus is planning targeted investments in regional capacities, such as the current expansion of the MUC2 data center in Kirchheim near Munich. The additional 5.5 MW of IT capacity will be available from the beginning of 2027 bringing the total capacity at the site to 7 MW. In parallel, the company is developing a new facility of up to 12.8MW IT capacity on a new land plot within its highly connected Hamburg campus and has substantially expanded its Luxembourg facility as well by adding 1.2MW of IT capacity.
