Gartner analysts claim that memory price inflation is deep, but it is not permanent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gartner estimates that annual DRAM and NAND flash memory prices in 2026 will increase by 125% and 234%, respectively, and no significant price relief is expected until the end of 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI semiconductors are expected to account for approximately 30% of total semiconductor revenue in 2026 and remain the driving force behind the industry&#8217;s overall growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyperscaler investment in building AI infrastructure remains strong, with spending predicted to increase by more than 50% in 2026, driving demand for AI accelerators, including Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and non-GPU custom chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Memflation will destroy, or at least delay, non-AI demand until 2028, to varying degrees depending on the application,&#8221; Rajput says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Technology vendors should prepare for higher prices during the first half of 2026, followed by persistent but moderate price increases throughout the rest of the year.
