{"id":170082,"date":"2026-07-01T09:34:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T08:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/eu\/?p=170082"},"modified":"2026-07-01T09:34:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T08:34:11","slug":"neurologyca-launches-research-division-to-advance-human-context-intelligence-for-ai-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/eu\/2026\/07\/01\/neurologyca-launches-research-division-to-advance-human-context-intelligence-for-ai-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"Neurologyca launches research division to advance Human Context Intelligence for AI systems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>New research division centralises years of Human Context Intelligence research to accelerate AI innovation, scientific collaboration and the development of benchmarks, datasets and evaluation frameworks for human-aware AI.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neurologyca has launched of Neurologyca Labs, a dedicated research division focused on advancing Human Context Intelligence, an emerging field centred on helping AI systems better understand and adapt to the people they serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neurologyca Labs formalises research work that has been underway inside the company for years, centralising those efforts into a dedicated division designed to accelerate scientific development, strengthen the company\u2019s Human Context AI platform and make it easier for universities, research institutions, enterprise partners, healthcare innovators and AI platform companies to collaborate with Madrid-based Neurologyca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch organises Neurologyca\u2019s research agenda around one of the most important challenges in AI: enabling intelligent systems to recognise, interpret and respond to human intent, trust, cognitive load, confidence, stress and readiness in real-world interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For years, Neurologyca\u2019s internal research teams have been developing the scientific and technical foundations behind the company\u2019s Human Context AI platform, including work across behavioural signal analysis, cognitive and emotional state modelling, human-machine interaction, adaptive systems and applied AI evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neurologyca Labs centralises that work into a dedicated research division, giving the company a more focused structure for advancing its platform, publishing technical work, developing benchmarks and datasets and engaging external partners through joint research, pilots and applied collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent advances in AI have enabled systems to reason, generate content, automate workflows and complete increasingly complex tasks. Yet most AI systems still have limited visibility into the human dynamics that determine whether those outputs actually lead to successful outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI systems can follow instructions and execute objectives, but they often miss the signals that matter in real-world interactions: shifting intent, declining confidence, cognitive overload, hesitation, stress, trust and readiness to act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As AI becomes more deeply embedded in decision-making, enterprise workflows and autonomous agents, model capability alone will not determine which systems create durable value. Intelligent systems will also need the ability to adapt to the people they serve over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neurologyca Labs was established to address this challenge through a multidisciplinary research agenda that combines artificial intelligence, behavioral science, neuroscience, psychology and human-computer interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group\u2019s work will focus on developing the models, frameworks, datasets and evaluation methodologies required to make human context a measurable and actionable component of intelligent systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neurologyca Labs will organise its research around four core areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Human Context Intelligence and alignment, focused on how AI systems can understand evolving human intent, trust, cognitive load and readiness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adaptive agents and human-centered robotics, focused on systems that adjust behaviour based on real-time human signals and situational context.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital wellness and cognitive health, focused on how technology can better support resilience, motivation, self-awareness and wellbeing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Benchmarks and evaluation frameworks, focused on measuring context-awareness, human alignment and long-term performance in real-world AI interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of Neurologyca Labs formalises and expands the research foundation that has long supported the company\u2019s Human Context AI platform, while reinforcing Neurologyca\u2019s position as a category-defining company in human-aware AI infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group will produce technical papers, research briefs, benchmark proposals and industry frameworks that contribute to broader conversations around AI alignment, human-centered design, adaptive agents and the future relationship between people and intelligent systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative will also support collaborations with universities, research institutions, enterprise technology organisations, healthcare innovators, AI platform companies and industry partners interested in advancing the science and deployment of human-aware AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planned activities include joint research studies, co-authored publications, benchmark development, enterprise pilot programmes and technical workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;AI has made extraordinary leaps in recent years when it comes to understanding information, but understanding people remains one of the most important unsolved problems in the field,&#8221; said Juan Gra\u00f1a, CEO, Neurologyca. &#8220;The next generation of intelligent systems will not be defined solely by how well they reason or how many tasks they can automate, but by how effectively they adapt to the humans they are working with. Neurologyca Labs brings greater focus and structure to research we have been advancing for years and creates a dedicated platform for building the scientific foundations that make genuine human understanding possible at scale.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key area of focus for Neurologyca Labs will be the development of new benchmarks and evaluation methodologies that move beyond traditional measures of model performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While most AI systems today are evaluated based on accuracy, speed, task completion or output quality, future intelligent systems will also need to be assessed on their ability to remain aligned with human intent, maintain trust and adapt appropriately as circumstances change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Much of the industry\u2019s attention has been focused on making AI more capable, which has produced incredible breakthroughs,&#8221; said Marc Fernandez, Chief Strategy Officer, Neurologyca. &#8220;The next frontier is making AI more aware of the people it is interacting with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Human behavior is not static.
