Greenerwave has secured the CAMELEON framework agreement from the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) to design, develop and produce next-generation satellite communication (SATCOM) terminals for the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seven-year agreement has a maximum value of \u20ac120 million and positions Greenerwave as prime contractor, working alongside Airbus Defence and Space and Thales to deliver advanced SATCOM capabilities for future military operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme covers terminals supporting Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellites across major communications frequency bands. The systems are intended for land, naval and airborne platforms, providing greater operational flexibility across diverse mission environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new terminals will use Greenerwave’s proprietary PESA electronically steered antenna technology, enabling lower power consumption, multi-band compatibility and faster deployment while maintaining high levels of performance. The technology has been developed to meet growing military demand for resilient, secure satellite connectivity as new constellations and operational requirements continue to expand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award followed several years of collaboration between the DGA and Greenerwave, with testing confirming the maturity and operational potential of the company’s antenna technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Geoffroy Lerosey, Chairman and co-founder, Greenerwave, said the agreement recognised years of innovation and strengthened French and European technological sovereignty through advanced SATCOM capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The DGA said future developments under CAMELEON would reinforce France’s strategic autonomy in military communications while supporting a sovereign national industrial base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
