{"id":171359,"date":"2026-09-22T12:03:52","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T11:03:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/eu\/?p=171359"},"modified":"2026-09-22T12:03:52","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T11:03:52","slug":"eu-launches-investment-pact-to-boost-funding-for-european-technology-scale-ups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/eu\/2026\/09\/22\/eu-launches-investment-pact-to-boost-funding-for-european-technology-scale-ups\/","title":{"rendered":"EU launches investment pact to boost funding for European technology scale-ups"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Thirteen institutional investors have signalled their intention to invest in Europe&#8217;s technology and scale-up ecosystem as the European Commission and EIB Group seek to address shortages in late-stage funding.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Commission and European Investment Bank (EIB) Group have launched a new framework designed to channel more institutional investment into European technology companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Institutional Investors Pact (EIIP) brings together public institutions and private investors to improve access to long-term capital for European technology scale-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirteen institutional investors have already expressed their intention to invest in the ecosystem, including through the \u20ac15 billion European Tech Champions Initiative 2.0 and \u20ac5 billion Scaleup Europe Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The voluntary initiative will include a Policy Dialogue Forum, led by the European Commission, where institutional investors can discuss regulatory and EU investment policy developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An Investment Platform led by the EIB Group will provide access to investment pipelines, market intelligence and information about opportunities across Europe&#8217;s venture capital and growth equity ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is intended to encourage investment from organisations including banks, pension funds and insurance companies and address a shortage of late-stage capital for European technology businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur goal is clear: to provide Europe\u2019s institutional investors with a single, credible entry point into innovation financing.
