The result is a highly reliable and autonomous infrastructure that gives us greater operational visibility, predictability and control, allowing our team to focus less on technology and more on the guest experience.”

HPE Aruba Central sits at the centre of the new environment, providing visibility and management across the hotel’s wired and wireless infrastructure.

The technology uses real-time data, automation and AI-driven insights to help IT teams identify network problems and reduce the amount of manual troubleshooting required.

According to HPE, issues that previously took hours or days to diagnose can now be identified and resolved within minutes, allowing technology teams to spend more time on strategic work.

The system also supports returning guests and members across Aethos properties by providing secure connectivity through single sign-on and uninterrupted roaming.

The infrastructure includes HPE Aruba Networking Access Points in every guest room alongside HPE Networking CX6200 and CX6300 switches.

Aethos is also using the platform to gain greater visibility into energy consumption and the carbon impact associated with its IT infrastructure, providing additional information that can be used to support more efficient technology operations.

The network has been built around an Agentic AI-native architecture designed to automate elements of network management and enable the infrastructure to respond to changing conditions with less manual intervention.

For Aethos, the London deployment is also intended to provide a repeatable technology foundation as the business grows. The hospitality group is expanding its portfolio through a combination of rapid property conversions and longer-term restoration projects.

Standardising the underlying network architecture gives the company a model that can be deployed across additional locations while providing centralised visibility and more consistent connectivity for employees and guests.

“HPE is helping Aethos build an AI-native, self-driving network foundation that keeps pace with the demands of modern hospitality,” said Mark Weeks, UK & Ireland Sales Director, Networking, HPE. “By combining experience-first intelligence, unified infrastructure, and built-in security, we can help Aethos simplify operations, scale efficiently, and deliver a consistently exceptional experience for every guest and every property.”

The Shoreditch project demonstrates how Aethos is seeking to establish its technology infrastructure as a foundation for both day-to-day hotel operations and its wider international expansion, while reducing the amount of manual network management required from its IT teams.

Aethos London Shoreditch has replaced its legacy wired and wireless infrastructure with an AI-native network from HPE, reporting a 90% improvement in operational efficiency and creating a technology blueprint that can be replicated as the hospitality group expands across Europe.
