MTC in Peru bids to improve digital empowerment in rural locations

The National Telecommunications Program (Pronatel), part of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) department in Peru, has granted the Regional Government of Cajamarca free access to the platform of digital courses that are part of the All Connected plan.

In this way, courses in office automation, finance for entrepreneurs, marketing, personal development, among others developed by this plan, will be freely accessible to students and entrepreneurs from that region, through the GRC Digital platform.

This agreement was established as a result of the meeting between the Executive Director of Pronatel, Carlos Lezameta Escribns, and the regional governor of Cajamarca, Mesías Guevara, in support of the program to promote digital literacy in the region.

The telecommunications initiatives that Pronatel develops are committed to generating digital empowerment of citizens in rural locations, seeking to develop digital skills that increase the level of employability, generate greater productivity of businesses in the area and develop a culture of digital citizenship.

In this way, Pronatel reaffirms its commitment to continue joining efforts to accelerate the expansion of coverage, access and use of the Internet, in order to generate more opportunities for all.
