Entel will carry out a technological upgrade of its mobile network, which includes the gradual shutdown of its 2G network starting from the second semester of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company has already initiated a support plan for the replacement of mobile devices that are only compatible with 2G, aiming to facilitate technological advancement. The first stage took place with a prioritized group in the Biob\u00edo Region, and from August 29, the same task was carried out in the communities of Puerto Cisnes and R\u00edo Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez in the Ays\u00e9n Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be eligible for a device replacement, the plan gives priority to Entel customers (prepaid and subscription) aged 70 and above who reside in rural areas without access to delivery services, as is the case in both communities in the region. Additionally, an information campaign will be conducted to clearly explain the benefits of replacement and the steps to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
