The initiative provides for the donation of equipment by the company for the creation of two regional laboratories, which will aim to prepare students and professionals for the Information Technology market.

The laboratories will be installed on the campuses of Fortaleza and Acopiara (317 kilometres from the capital) with capacity to serve classes of up to 60 students. Throughout the course, practical classes will be offered to allow participants to test and configure the equipment in an applied way, expanding the technical experience.

In this context, the expectation is that in the next two years hundreds of students and professionals already working in the area of networks will be trained and certified free of charge, strengthening inclusion in the labour market.

“The partnership with IFCE shows how companies and educational institutions can work together to expand access to technology training and create new career opportunities, especially in the northeast region of the country,” says Marcelo Oliveira, general director of TP-Link Brazil.

Social inclusion in technology

In addition to technical training, the partnership between TP-Link and IFCE seeks to promote social inclusion with the offer of opportunities to people with disabilities (PCD). Another differential of the alliance is the expansion of the existing training ecosystem at the Federal Institute, which has other technology laboratories and now incorporates the Omada solution by TP-Link, a B2B brand specialising in corporate network solutions with centralised cloud management, as a strategic tool for teaching and professional practice.

For the rector of IFCE, Wally Menezes, the cooperation paves the way for the strengthening of technical training in the state.

“With the arrival of TP-Link’s laboratories, our students will have direct contact with state-of-the-art equipment and will be able to experience real network configuration and management situations. This not only enriches learning but also increases the employability of our students and strengthens IFCE’s mission to promote excellent education,” he said.

In addition to IFCE, TP-Link is considering expanding the model to other educational institutions in the country with the aim of expanding the offer of OCNA certification and consolidating its performance as a strategic partner in the training of specialised labour in technology.

“We believe that Brazil’s Digital Transformation necessarily involves the qualification of people. This partnership is just the beginning, as we want to create a knowledge network that reaches more and more institutions and trains professionals prepared to lead the technological advances of the future,” said Oliveira.

TP-Link has partnered with IFCE to create laboratories and offer certified training, preparing students and professionals in Brazil for careers in Information Technology.
