The expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s broader strategy to deepen its footprint across the Americas and support organisations pursuing large-scale data, cloud and AI modernisation initiatives.

Mexico has emerged as one of the region’s most dynamic technology markets, with both public sector institutions and private enterprises accelerating investments in Digital Transformation. According to recent industry data from AWS, 88% of companies in Mexico report that Artificial Intelligence initiatives have increased productivity and improved revenue or profitability.

At the same time, 96% of organisations plan to increase IT budgets in 2026, with AI, data infrastructure and cloud modernisation identified as top areas of investment.

Blend’s expanded presence in the country is designed to meet this rising demand for advanced AI capabilities, including generative AI solutions, data engineering, cloud architecture and marketing technology services. By operating closer to clients, the company aims to deliver solutions with greater speed, deeper collaboration and stronger alignment with local business and regulatory environments.

The new Mexico operations will serve two complementary purposes. First, they will allow Blend to work directly with Mexican enterprises and public sector organisations seeking to implement enterprise-grade AI solutions. Second, they will function as a nearshore delivery centre that supports clients across North America and Latin America by providing highly skilled technical teams operating in compatible time zones.

This dual role strengthens Blend’s ability to execute complex, large-scale data and AI programmes that require tight coordination between strategy, engineering and operational teams.

“As organisations across the Americas accelerate their adoption of AI, the ability to deliver both strategic expertise and scalable technical execution becomes increasingly important,” said Oz Dogan, President, Americas at Blend. “Our expansion into Mexico strengthens our platform across the region. By establishing a deeper presence here, we are increasing our capacity to support complex enterprise programmes—both for local clients and for organisations throughout the Americas.”

Dogan emphasised that the decision to invest in Mexico reflects both market opportunity and long-term strategic alignment.

“Our approach is straightforward,” he added. “We invest where demand is growing, where talent is strong and where we can create meaningful impact for our clients. Mexico represents all three. The country has a deep and growing technology talent base, strong enterprise demand for modernisation and a strategic location that enables effective collaboration across time zones.”

Blend’s growth in Mexico is also closely tied to its ongoing collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Premier Tier Services Partner, Blend works closely with AWS to help enterprises accelerate cloud migration, modernise data platforms and scale Artificial Intelligence initiatives from experimentation to production.

The companies are deepening their go-to-market collaboration in Mexico to support organisations seeking to unlock the full value of cloud-based AI infrastructure. Through joint solution development, technical alignment and coordinated client engagement, Blend and AWS aim to help enterprises move beyond isolated pilot projects toward enterprise-scale AI deployments that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Across many industries, companies have reached a critical turning point in their AI journeys. Early experimentation with Machine Learning and generative AI has demonstrated significant potential, but scaling those capabilities across large organisations requires robust data platforms, secure cloud environments and specialised engineering expertise.

Blend’s services are designed to address this challenge by helping organisations modernise the full data and AI lifecycle – from data ingestion and governance to model development, deployment and operationalisation.

“Mexico is a critical and high-growth market for us,” said Andrés Barrantes, SVP and LATAM Region Head, Blend. “There is real momentum here. Organisations are investing in modernisation and moving with urgency, particularly in sectors like financial services, telecommunications, retail and government. But success requires more than just technology – it requires the right expertise and execution capability.”

Barrantes noted that many organisations are now shifting their focus from proof-of-concept AI projects to operational deployments that deliver tangible value.

“What we’re seeing across the region is a transition from experimentation to enterprise implementation,” he said. “Companies are asking how they can operationalise AI at scale, how they can integrate generative AI into core business workflows and how they can modernise their data foundations to support future innovation. Our teams in Mexico will play a key role in helping organisations answer those questions and move forward with confidence.”

Guadalajara, often referred to as Mexico’s ‘Silicon Valley’, will serve as a central location for Blend’s engineering and delivery teams. The city has become one of Latin America’s most prominent technology ecosystems, home to a growing network of universities, research institutions and multinational technology companies.

By building teams in Guadalajara, Blend plans to tap into a highly skilled talent pool specialising in artificial intelligence, machine learning engineering, data architecture and software development. These teams will collaborate closely with colleagues in other Blend locations across the Americas to deliver complex enterprise projects.

Meanwhile, the Mexico City office will focus on client engagement, strategic consulting and programme leadership for organisations operating in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Located in the Polanco district – one of the city’s leading financial and business centres – the office will serve as a hub for client collaboration and regional leadership.

Together, the two locations create a balanced operating model that combines client proximity with technical delivery scale.

Over the next year, Blend expects to hire approximately 100 net-new employees in Mexico as part of the initial phase of expansion. The company is building multidisciplinary teams that span multiple areas of expertise, including:

• Artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering

• Data engineering and advanced analytics

• Cloud architecture and platform modernisation

• Prompt engineering and generative AI solution development

• Marketing technology and customer data platforms

This integrated talent model reflects Blend’s belief that successful AI transformation requires collaboration across disciplines. Data scientists, engineers, cloud architects and business strategists must work together to design systems that are not only technically sophisticated but also aligned with real-world operational needs.

Beyond hiring, Blend also plans to invest in partnerships with local universities and professional organisations to support the development of next-generation AI talent in Mexico. These efforts will include internships, training programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives designed to strengthen the local technology ecosystem.

The company sees Mexico as playing an increasingly important role in the broader transformation of the global technology workforce. As organisations pursue Digital Transformation and AI-driven innovation, demand for specialised technical talent continues to grow worldwide.

Nearshore delivery models – where teams operate in geographically proximate locations with compatible time zones and cultural alignment – have become an increasingly attractive approach for enterprises seeking both efficiency and collaboration.

By expanding its presence in Mexico, Blend aims to provide clients with a delivery model that combines the advantages of global scale with the responsiveness of local partnership.

“AI transformation is not a one-time initiative – it’s a multi-year journey,” Barrantes said. “Organisations need partners who can support them at every stage, from early strategy to full operational deployment. Our investment in Mexico reflects our commitment to being that long-term partner for clients across the region.”

While the broader economic and geopolitical environment across the Americas continues to evolve, Blend views its expansion in Mexico through a long-term lens. The country’s growing technology ecosystem, expanding enterprise demand for AI and strategic geographic position make it a natural foundation for regional growth.

For Blend, the move represents both an investment in the future of the company and a commitment to supporting the next wave of enterprise AI adoption across the Americas.

“Our clients are navigating one of the most significant technological shifts in decades,” Dogan said. “Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how organisations operate, compete and deliver value. Our goal is to help them harness that transformation responsibly and effectively. Expanding our presence in Mexico allows us to do that with greater scale, stronger collaboration and deeper regional impact.”

Blend has launched expanded operations in Mexico, positioning the country as both a strategic client market and a nearshore delivery hub to support enterprise AI initiatives and Digital Transformation programmes across the Americas.
