Arqia has agreed to acquire Algar Telecom\u2019s Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity business, strengthening parent company Wireless Logic\u2019s expansion strategy in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transaction, subject to customary closing conditions, will expand Arqia\u2019s position as Brazil\u2019s largest IoT-focused mobile virtual network operator and increase its capabilities in mission-critical IoT and machine-to-machine applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wireless Logic acquired Arqia in 2025 as part of its push into Brazil, one of Latin America\u2019s fastest-growing connected technology markets. Algar said the divestment would allow it to increase investment in core IT and telecommunications services, including cloud, cybersecurity and professional services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Algar Telecom launched its IoT operation in 2019, initially targeting machine-to-machine and point-of-sale applications. The business has since developed into a leading Brazilian IoT connectivity platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tomas Fuchs, CEO, Arqia, said the agreement represented an important milestone for the company and would accelerate its expansion while broadening solutions available to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following completion, Arqia will combine its Brazilian market expertise with Wireless Logic\u2019s international scale. Wireless Logic connects millions of devices across more than 165 countries and serves thousands of businesses worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The enlarged operation will target connected applications across agribusiness, logistics, payments, utilities, manufacturing, healthcare and smart cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
