{"id":20013,"date":"2026-09-18T14:01:32","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T13:01:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/latam\/?p=20013"},"modified":"2026-09-18T14:01:32","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T13:01:32","slug":"68-of-latin-american-ai-adopters-plan-to-scale-within-a-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/latam\/2026\/09\/18\/68-of-latin-american-ai-adopters-plan-to-scale-within-a-year\/","title":{"rendered":"68% of Latin American AI adopters plan to scale within a year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>RSM research finds businesses across Latin America are preparing to accelerate Artificial Intelligence adoption, but governance, risk management and workforce readiness are struggling to keep pace.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than two-thirds of Latin American organisations already using Artificial Intelligence plan to scale their deployments within the next 12 months, according to research from RSM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>AI Readiness in Latin America 2026<\/em> report, based on a survey of more than 400 business leaders across the region, found around 40% of organisations are already implementing AI, with 68% of those adopters preparing to expand its use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, only 18% of respondents have formal AI governance frameworks, while 17% have established employee AI policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workforce preparedness is another challenge, with just 4% reporting comprehensive AI training maturity and only 8% of employees feeling fully prepared to work with the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The main risk is not a lack of interest in AI, but that many organisations are trying to scale before they have the capabilities needed to turn that interest into real, measurable, and sustainable value,&#8221; said Eileen Turkot, Market Leader &#8211; Latin America, RSM International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Efficiency is the leading motivation for AI adoption, cited by 67% of respondents, with planned investment concentrated on IT, operations and marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RSM found organisations with established governance and formal or developing policies were considerably more likely to have conducted AI risk assessments, suggesting governance maturity is closely associated with more developed approaches to managing AI-related risks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RSM research finds businesses across Latin America are preparing to accelerate Artificial Intelligence adoption, but governance, risk management and workforce readiness are struggling to keep pace.
