Through Eletronet’s Full IP solution, the provider now uses IP Transit and the company’s infrastructure as a major connection and operational support platform for customer traffic.

“We started to register network availability of more than 99.9% and we have concrete performance gains, which positions us at a new competitive level in the broadband market,” says Renan César, Chief Technology Officer, Maxx Connected.

César said the improved infrastructure would support the company’s expansion into additional municipalities while maintaining its existing quality standards. The partnership forms part of wider investment in new technologies and services intended to broaden the company’s role in the regional market.

“We have entered a new phase of growth, with investments in cutting-edge technologies and the expansion of our portfolio. The partnership with Eletronet allows us to advance in our goal of consolidating ourselves as a complete technology hub in the region”, he says.

Maxx Conectado has also expanded its data centre infrastructure by contracting colocation space for its own equipment. Dedicated transport connects the facility to its existing operation, creating additional capacity to support the provider’s expansion.

The investment comes as demand for streaming, online gaming, videoconferencing and cloud services places growing pressure on regional broadband networks. These applications require consistent connections and short response times because fluctuations in latency can affect the experience of residential customers.

Regional providers also need more distributed and scalable infrastructure located closer to important connectivity points, content platforms, cloud environments, over-the-top services and hyperscalers. Eletronet said its solutions were customised and rapidly implemented within Maxx Conectado’s network architecture to address these requirements.

“Before the implementation, Maxx Connected’s main challenge was to ensure stability, predictability and expansion capacity in the face of traffic growth,” says Gabriel Sandim, Sales Manager at Eletronet.

According to Sandim, combining IP Transit with dedicated high-capacity transport and data centre infrastructure improves network efficiency and the quality of data delivered to customers, including during periods of peak demand.

“This means more quality perceived by the end user, less variation during consumption peaks and a technological base prepared to sustain the operator’s growth safely,” he says.

Eletronet operates an 18,000-kilometre optical fibre network using Optical Ground Wire technology, alongside 170 Edge Data Centers distributed across 18 Brazilian states. Its infrastructure connects to 25 Internet Exchanges, which facilitate direct exchanges of national and international traffic, and provides connectivity to 36 major data centres in Brazil.

The network’s geographical reach supports multiple redundant routes, giving customers alternative paths for traffic and improving resilience. Eletronet plans to expand its network to 26,000 kilometres of routes and increase its Edge Data Centers to 255 across 23 states by the end of 2026.

For Maxx Conectado, the IP Transit deployment has already produced measurable network improvements. The company reported more stable operations, reduced fluctuations and fewer communication problems when accessing external services and content.

Performance improvements included changes in jitter, which measures variations in the time taken for data packets to arrive. Lower jitter helps maintain consistent performance for applications that depend on real-time communication, particularly gaming and videoconferencing.

On monitored routes, average latency fell by approximately four to five milliseconds, from around 12 milliseconds to between seven and eight milliseconds. The reduction means data travels between points more quickly, supporting smoother navigation and more consistent application performance for customers.

The colocation agreement extends these improvements by allowing Maxx Conectado to position network equipment and other assets within a strategically located data centre environment. This arrangement increases its capacity to support network operations while bringing infrastructure closer to applications, content, cloud services, OTT platforms and hyperscaler connections.

Rather than committing immediately to a larger facility, the provider can contract a fraction of the available space according to its present requirements. This approach reduces the need to take on more infrastructure than its current demand warrants while leaving room for future expansion.

The arrangement also includes Eletronet’s Smart Hands support, covering physical work on equipment such as installation, cabling, handling, audits and operational interventions. These services provide practical assistance within the data centre and can help the provider manage equipment without having its own staff perform every task on site.

The project also advances Eletronet’s strategy to increase its presence in the IP Transit and data centre markets, particularly among regional Internet providers. Its combination of transport, interconnection and colocation services is designed to support operators seeking to handle rising traffic volumes without building all the underlying infrastructure themselves.

For regional broadband operators, these arrangements offer a way to expand capacity while keeping network performance central to investment decisions. In Maxx Conectado’s case, the reported reductions in latency and improvements in availability provide early indicators of the partnership’s operational impact.

As residential demand continues to increase, the provider’s next challenge will be maintaining those gains while extending services to new municipalities. The investment also highlights the importance of resilient regional networks as more digital services depend on uninterrupted connectivity and predictable performance nationwide. The expanded infrastructure is intended to give Maxx Conectado the capacity and operational flexibility needed to pursue that growth.

Brazilian Internet service provider Maxx Conectado has expanded its network capacity through Eletronet’s IP Transit, dedicated transport and colocation services, delivering measurable improvements in latency, availability and operational resilience.
