Tracesafe, a global leader in location-aware Internet of Things (IoT) platforms for large-scale industrial and enterprise operations, has announced a wearable technology partnership with Royal Caribbean Cruises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working in collaboration with Royal Caribbean\u2019s Innovation Team, TraceSafe has developed custom wearable devices and bands that are equipped with long-lasting batteries and RFID modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The companies worked closely together to design and manufacture a wearable that can meet both Royal Caribbean’s standards for comfort and the cruise line\u2019s commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within this partnership, Royal Caribbean will be TraceSafe\u2019s first major customer to enrol in the company\u2019s recycling program that aims at reducing electronic waste by refurbishing used IoT devices and giving them a second life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
