Technology gurus gather to define smarter strategies at Smartcon 2015

As the use of Big Data, Open Data, Advanced Analytics, IoT and Artificial Intelligence are increasingly used to improve services globally and accelerate innovation cycle for the benefit of populations, businesses and governments, Smartcon 2015 Dubai gathers business and technology experts who will shared insights on how these capabilities are going to be key for the growth of the UAE and the rest of the region.

In addition, monetisation of mobile data and its effect on service provisioning will also be explored of how data driven innovation is opening up further opportunities for growth in the business sector.

The one and a half day event will feature a unique mix of international keynotes and speaker sessions and panels. Content of the conference is enriched with three parallel sessions on the first day, such as “Open Data & Big Data Driven Monetization”, “Mass Marketing to Digital Marketing” and “Effect of Big Data in Value Creation of Government Services”. Registered attendees will also get the chance to have practical implementation tips and methods with workshops in the second day of the summit.

Speakers at the conference include some of the world’s foremost thinkers and practitioners: Dr. Alex Sandy Pentland, director of the MIT Human Dynamics Lab, co-leader of the Big Data Initiative at the World Economic Forum and Leader of the Independent Expert Advisory Group on the Data Revolution for Sustainable Development at UN; Fadi Ghandour – co-founder and vice chairman of Aramex and Chairman and Managing Partner of Wamda Capital; Andrew Pinder, chairman roles in Market Operator Services Ltd (MOSL) & Digital Mobile Spectrum Ltd (at800) and ex-envoy to UK Prime Minister; Amr Awadallah, founder and CTO of Cloudera; as well as Ayesha Khanna, CEO & co-founder at Keys Academy, director at Future Cities Group at the London School of Economics and author of “Hybrid Reality: Thriving in the Emerging Human Technology Civilisation”, among others.
