Security networks provider Nedaa supplies specialist services to key clients such as Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Ambulance and Dubai Airshow. Its CEO, H.E. Mansoor BuOsaiba, tells us more about the company’s growing reputation.
Professional Communication Corporation, Nedaa, the Dubai Government security networks provider, specialises in supplying advanced wireless communication solutions to ensure smooth and secure emergency responses between security personnel and organisations.
It has provided services for the likes of Dubai Police, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Ambulance and Dubai Airshow.
During the airshow Nedaa positioned its mobile base station next to the event’s site, offering round-the-clock monitoring and connectivity for addressing critical situations and equipment malfunction.
Known as the first organisation to operate the TETRA network in the region, Nedaa provided technological support through its Airbus radio TH9 operating under the TETRA network, with 69 devices allotted to the security team for secure communications in all areas of the exhibition to ensure fast, secure and reliable data and information exchange.
HE Mansoor BuOsaiba, Nedaa’s CEO, said: “We continue to strive for excellence, reiterated by our commitment to ensure smooth emergency response operations through our designated on-site technical teams at the airshow; leveraging extensive security research and maintaining the highest international standards to provide world class communication services to all our customers.”

What can you tell us about the company’s activities?
Professional Communication Corporation – Nedaa is the sole and exclusive security network provider for the Government of Dubai. Nedaa has made its mark on the telecommunications industry as the first corporation in the Middle East to implement the use of the TETRA Network throughout its diverse services which include the Mobile Base Station which offers round-the-clock monitoring and connectivity at major events, and premier indoor coverage and base transmission solutions for important facilities in the Emirate to ensure fast, secure and reliable data and information exchange.
As part of Nedaa’s commitment to playing a significant role in the Emirate’s continuing growth and development while complying with the highest public safety standards, it has explored, developed and rolled out new and advanced technologies and has launched in October 2016 its very own Nedaa 4G network to support mission-critical situations and reinforce the country’s move towards smart mobility and smart living.
Nedaa offers its services across a wide range of industry verticals, including public transport, aviation, law enforcement, customs, ports and security.
Can you explain why 4G is important in Dubai?
First of all, let’s see why we undertook this 4G initiative. As you know the Tetra networks have limitations. So, we needed another network which can complement the Tetra network, and we decided to go with Nokia to provide 4G networks for mission critical communications. Hopefully by the end of 2019 we will launch our operations.
Your company partners with some of the most prominent names in telecommunications. Why is that important?
We have very strong relations with the main providers and the manufacturers, like Airbus and Nokia. We have very strong system integrators and a systems solution provider which is Esharah Etisalat Security Solutions, a subsidiary of Nedaa.
So if you combine all of these factors we can supply state-of-the-art solutions to our customers in Dubai, and the whole of the UAE. As you know, our key customers are in Dubai and they are running very critical operations like Dubai Airports which is reaching around 86 million passengers a year.
Other customers are Dubai Police and the ambulance service, as well as Dubai Ports which have very strong growth figures. All of these customers are looking to us for state-of-the-art services so this is the reason we are working with some of the big names in the industry and technology fields.
We have had a long-term partnership with Airbus since the establishment of Nedaa in 2008. We are part of their roadmap developments.
Can you tell us a little bit more about your work with public agencies?
We are providing the networks for agencies such as Dubai Police and the airport, as well as the transport authorities. The Metro is also hooked into our networks. They are running very critical operations and they are looking for a reliable network to rely on to carry out their operations without any disturbance.
Does the company just operate in the UAE or do you operate in the rest of the region?
We provide coverage for crisis and catastrophes across Dubai and Northern Emirates.
What do you think the major developments in your industry are going to be?
I think we are going to focus on broadband. We’re going to focus on mission critical applications, tied to Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. IoT is a huge field and one of our targets is to implement an IoT platform as part of our networks.
Also, in 2020 we are part of Expo 2020 providing mission critical network coverage for the organisational committees of Expo 2020.
