stc donates US$2.6 million to Ehsan platform

Saudi-based telco stc Group has responded to the donation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to the Ehsan platform as part of the national charity campaign that was launched recently.

The telecoms group has provided a financial contribution of SAR10 million (US$2.6 million), in addition to supporting and contributing to the operation and provision of Ehsan’s call centre through a team dedicated to responding to almost 900 calls a day, as well as sending text messages to introduce the platform and its objectives, as part of the company’s long-lasting contributions and its efforts to harness its digital potential to enable the non-profit sector and partner in the platform under the supervision of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence and a number of other official entities.

Stc is proud to contribute to one of its most important programmes supporting the non-profit sector, represented by the ‘Technical Empowerment’ programme, which contains integrated packages of advanced technical solutions that enable the non-profit sector and support its entities in promoting the efficiency of performance, quality of institutional work and the optimal use of resources in order to achieve the objective of harnessing technology to support and enhance community contribution.

The programme aims to enable non-profit sector organisations technically by providing a range of solutions and multiple platforms. The latest donation brings stc Group’s contribution to SAR20 million (US$5.3 million) in the form of direct financial support and technical support for the platform. The platform also supports the group’s objective to stimulate innovative digital opportunities that are a strategic component of the company’s sustainability strategy to achieve the requirements of the SDGs.
