Western Union enhances WU.com and Mobile App in Saudi Arabia

Western Union, a global provider of cross-border, cross-currency money movement and payments, has enhanced its digital services – WU.com and the Western Union mobile app – in Saudi Arabia, in association with Ersal Money Transfer, a joint venture of Alinma Bank and Saudi Post Corporation (SPL) and one of the leading remittance service providers in Saudi Arabia.

Western Union consumers in Saudi Arabia can now enjoy a seamless registration and online verification process prior to using the company’s digital service offerings, which enable them to send money to their loved ones globally, 24 by 7.

“We are delighted to partner with Ersal to enhance our global digital money transfer capabilities in Saudi Arabia, offering our consumers an optimal digital customer experience while sending money to their family and loved ones globally,” said Salma Massoud, Head of Digital, Middle East and Africa, Western Union.

“Speed, reliability and convenience are what define our digital services, and this is even more important during these challenging times where customers may still prefer to transact from the comfort and safety of their homes.”

“Saudi Arabia is a strategic market for Western Union and this enhancement for WU.com and the Western Union mobile app, alongside our other digital and retail services,” Salma added.
