GlobalTech Corporation, a technology company specialising in AI and Big Data, and Omantel, Oman’s top telecom provider, have signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a partnership on AI and Big Data services.

The planned partnership aims to combine Omantel’s strong infrastructure and customer base with GlobalTech’s expertise in AI & Big Data. Together, they hope to offer AI-driven solutions for industries like compliance, fintech, retail and HR, helping companies improve productivity, reduce costs and stay competitive.

Mehdi Al Abduwani, Director, GlobalTech Corporation, said: “AI and Big Data are key enablers of economic and business transformation and we believe this planned collaboration with Omantel will strengthen our AI and Big Data offerings.”

Saleem Ahmed Abdullatiff, Vice President Enterprise, Omantel, added: “Omantel is committed to empowering businesses with next-generation AI solutions, accelerating Oman’s Digital Transformation.”

The collaboration aligns with Oman Vision 2040, supporting economic diversification and tech innovation. GlobalTech plans to introduce a new AI service portfolio to help clients modernise operations. However, the agreement is not yet final, and terms may change or not be completed. The companies believe the partnership could redefine Oman’s digital landscape and strengthen its position as a regional technology leader.
