{"id":108903,"date":"2024-12-11T12:22:57","date_gmt":"2024-12-11T12:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=108903"},"modified":"2024-12-11T12:22:58","modified_gmt":"2024-12-11T12:22:58","slug":"teamviewer-to-acquire-1e-a-leader-in-digital-employee-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2024\/12\/11\/teamviewer-to-acquire-1e-a-leader-in-digital-employee-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"TeamViewer to acquire 1E, a leader in Digital Employee Experience\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Strategic expansion into Digital Workplace Management combines TeamViewer\u2019s market-leading remote connectivity solutions with 1E\u2019s world-class Digital Employee Experience (DEX) platform.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TeamViewer has acquired 1E signing an agreement with Carlyle Europe Technology Partners (CETP), part of global investment firm Carlyle, to buy London-based 1E at an enterprise value of US$720 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The acquisition is expected to close in early 2025 after obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This transformational transaction positions TeamViewer as a strong player in the digital workplace market by integrating TeamViewer\u2019s remote access and support expertise with 1E \u2019s autonomous IT platform. The combined offering enhances customer benefits by proactively preventing IT issues and providing efficient remote expert support to resolve them. Together with 1E, TeamViewer pitches an industry-leading, one-stop-shop for IT operations, intelligent endpoint management and enhanced user experience in the digital workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The acquisition is intended to drive growth by expanding TeamViewer\u2019s footprint in North America with the US being the largest market for TeamViewer and 1E, and positioning the group to introduce DEX solutions into the regions EMEA and APAC.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the acquisition, TeamViewer will make several additions to the leadership team, effective upon closing of the transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark Banfield, CEO of 1E, will become a member of TeamViewer\u2019s Management Board and act as Chief Commercial Officer of the group. Additionally, TeamViewer intends to appoint Stephen Tarleton, Chief Marketing Officer of 1E, as its Chief Marketing Officer and a member of TeamViewer\u2019s Senior Leadership Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, TeamViewer\u2019s Supervisory Board has agreed a three-year contract extension for Chief Product and Technology Officer, Mei Dent, to continue building the progress on TeamViewer\u2019s Product and R&amp;D strategy within the Management Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All three leaders will support the alignment of TeamViewer\u2019s and 1E\u2019s commercial and product strategy and drive further growth.
