Veeam Software will be showcasing its new\u00a0Veeam Availability Suite 9.5<\/em>, an upgraded version of the earlier solution that delivers recovery time and point objectives (RTPO) of less than\u00a015 minutes for all applications and data, ensuring they are accessible whenever and wherever they are needed. A big\u00a0focus at GITEX this year will be on building awareness about the newly launched \u2018Veeam Availability Platform for the Hybrid Cloud<\/span><\/a>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gregg Petersen, Regional Director, MEA and SAARC, Veeam Software says, \u201cOrganisations are modernising their data centres while facing new demands from end users \u2013 including access to data and applications 24\/7, no patience for downtime or data loss, and exponential data growth of 30% to 50% per year. Legacy backup cannot meet these requirements, and cannot deliver the availability that is needed in today\u2019s modern data centre. In fact, as per Veeam\u2019s latest Availability Report, 82% of CIOs say there is a gap between the level of data centre availability they provide and what end-users demand. This availability gap costs enterprises up to $16 million a year in lost revenue and productivity, in addition to the negative impact on customer confidence and brand integrity.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAvailability is central to digital transformation. At GITEX we intend to educate regional CIOs and IT managers about the need to transition from legacy backup solutions to high availability data centre solutions like the Veeam Availability Suite, in order to make the most of their investments in virtualisation and become always-on, always-available operations. We have experienced a great deal of success and accelerated growth in the region as evidenced by our Q2 2016 results where we achieved 22 percent year-over-year (YoY) growth in total bookings revenue. This goes to show that enterprises in the Middle East are embracing Veeam\u2019s innovative approach of delivering availability solutions, which enable SLAs for recovery time and point objectives of less than 15 minutes for ALL applications and data.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 will introduce new features including expanded storage snapshot integration to Nimble Storage, cloud restore for ANY Veeam backup, a technology partnership with Microsoft designed to modernise the organisation\u2019s private cloud platform and enterprise applications, and enhanced VMware vCloud Director support for service providers. With the newly launched \u2018Veeam Availability Platform for the Hybrid Cloud\u2019, the company delivers the next generation of availability for virtual, physical, and cloud-based workloads to enable the Always-On Enterprise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding the importance of participating at GITEX, Petersen says, \u201cAs the premier ICT event in the region, GITEX offers a great platform for Veeam to showcase our products and capabilities and meet with existing and prospective clients and partners. Through these discussions we would gain a greater understanding of how Veeam can help customers based on a customized approach to the region\u2019s specific needs. This will be our sixth consecutive year of participating at GITEX and I can attribute much of our success to the relationships we have built and fostered at the event over the years.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Veeam will have its own dedicated stand CLD-18 in Hall 6<\/strong>, while also having a presence at two of its distributor\u2019s booths – Aptec \u2013 an Ingram Micro company (Hall 4, stand C4-1)and Redington Gulf (Hall 3, stand C3-1).<\/span><\/p>\n

On 17th October, the second day of GITEX, the company will host its \u2018Veeam GITEX Party\u2019 for all of Veeam\u2019s alliances, channel partners and end-users.
