Securing the Industrial Internet is the top priority for Middle East Chief Information Security Officers (CISO), one of the world\u2019s leading consultancies challenged today at the GITEX CISO Breakfast Briefing.<\/p>\n
Spending on the Industrial Internet\u2013 combining Big Data with the Internet of Things \u2013 is set to impact $15 trillion of global GDP by 2030, according to a recent report by the consultancy Accenture. However, these technologies can expose companies to cyber security risk, and only 44% of organisations have end-to-end security in place.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecurity is becoming more relevant than ever before in today\u2019s hyper-connected world. Our increasingly digitised ecosystem presents us with both opportunities and challenges. Governments and businesses in every industry need to adapt to this new reality by creating an agile and resilient security framework that actively prevents and combats cyberattacks,\u201d said Tony Karam, Managing Director of Accenture Digital in the Middle East and North Africa, on the sidelines of the GITEX CISO Breakfast Briefing 2016.<\/p>\n
